OnlineCertifiedMail's Role
- We print your documents, prepare your envelopes, seal them, and hand them over for delivery.
- Once your mail is handed off, USPS takes over the delivery process.
- Delivery typically takes 3-7 business days but can vary depending on USPS processing.
When to Contact USPS
While we ensure timely and accurate mailing, we only have access to the same public tracking information as you. Only USPS can assist with delivery-related questions.
You should reach out to the USPS for questions about:
- Tracking updates
- Delivery status
- Signature confirmation or availability
Finding Your Tracking Number
To locate the tracking number for Certified Mail:
- Log into your account.
- Click on the History tab.
- Locate the tracking number to the right recipient’s address.
Tips for Contacting USPS
It can be difficult to reach the USPS sometimes, so here are a few tips we've learned:
- Call (800) 275-8777
- Select the option for “tracking a package”
- Important: Do not enter your tracking number. After multiple prompts, the system should eventually say “transferring to representative”, which will connect you to a live person.
