Sending from Outside the U.S.
If you are located outside the United States but your mailing and return addresses are within the U.S., you can use OnlineCertifiedMail.com to send Certified Mail as usual — just include a valid U.S. return address.
- The return address must be physically in the U.S.
- If you don’t have one, you might consider the site’s Undeliverable Mail Processing option.
Sending to U.S. Addresses Only
Certified Mail sent through OnlineCertifiedMail.com can only be mailed to U.S. addresses. This does not include U.S. territories, APO/FPO/DPO military mail, or international destinations outside the United States.
What About International Delivery
Because Certified Mail service isn’t available for international addresses, you cannot use OnlineCertifiedMail.com to send Certified Mail directly to an address outside the U.S. If you need delivery tracking or proof of delivery for an international address, you’ll need to use Registered Mial.
Alternative for International Tracking
The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers Registered Mail (PS Form 2865) for international shipping, which includes tracking and signature confirmation where available. Registered Mail is the closest USPS product to Certified Mail for international destinations.
- OnlineCertifiedMail.com does not support Registered Mail.
- However, the parent site, LetterStream.com, does support sending Registered Mail to international addresses — click here for more information.
